Discover.</em> ~ Mark Twain<br /><br />As a young adult, there are so many places in this world I would like to discover, so many ways I want to broaden my horizons, one of these ways is through travel. Growing up in small-town Wisconsin meant growing up in a safe place, a place where you felt comfortable letting your kids run around from house to house with all the other neighborhood kids and ride bikes out in the street. It also meant less diversity and exposure to the rest of the world, compared to growing up in an urban environment. Having been adopted from South Korea when I was five months old, I was definitely different than most of my classmates. For as long as I can remember, though, my parents drilled into our heads that different wasn’t better or worse, just different, and they proved it through giving my sister and me the opportunity to experience travel at a young age. I feel so grateful to them for having instilled this value and for leading me to this passion of mine.<br /><br />So, great, you say, she likes to travel, but why the blog?<br /><br />I have recently begun taking a certificate program about multichannel marketing through DePaul University (located in Chicago, IL). For our first assignment, we have been asked to start a blog. I have decided to begin blogging about travel, for reasons I will delve into further at a later point.<br /><br />A few areas of focus you’ll be able to find will be:<br />1) Some of my travel experiences<br />2) News content<br />3) How to articles<br />4) Factoids<br />5) Question and answer<br />6) Photos and video<br /><br />Pease feel free to comment directly on the site.
